JMC Van Trans Ltd. is an international provider of logistics, delivery, and warehousing solutions in Ireland, the UK, and Europe. We wish to recruit an IT Support Engineer who is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, business systems, and end-user computing environment. The role combines technical support, systems administration, infrastructure maintenance, and business process automation to ensure the efficient operation of company technology services. The IT Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s day-to-day IT operations by providing technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and supporting business systems used across multiple departments. The role also contributes to improving operational efficiency through the development of automation solutions and internal applications. This position is essential to ensure reliable technology services, minimize system downtime, and support the company's ongoing operational requirements. Key Responsibilities • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktop, laptop, software, hardware, and Microsoft Windows environments. • Troubleshoot operating system, application, network connectivity, and Microsoft 365 issues. • Configure, install, maintain, and support desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices. • Support wireless networks, endpoint devices, and local network infrastructure. • Assist with maintaining IT infrastructure, including switches and network connectivity. • Provide remote technical support to internal users across multiple departments and external business customers. • Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and Office. • Develop and maintain Python automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual business processes. • Assist in maintaining and developing internal applications, databases and digital forms using the Caspio low-code platform. • Support label printers, barcode scanners and warehouse technology solutions. • Assist with software deployments, upgrades, security updates and hardware replacements. • Monitor and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity. Essential Requirements • Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Computing, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline. • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments. • Experience supporting Microsoft 365. • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi). • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues. • Knowledge of Python programming. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and customer service skills.
