Horsehill Farm Limited is seeking to recruit a Dairy Farm Assistant to join our modern dairy farm team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of dairy farm work, including:
Milking cows
Feeding livestock
Calf rearing
Animal husbandry
Calving
Heat detection
General herd health and welfare
Tractor and machinery operation
Fencing and grassland management
Farmyard maintenance and all other day-to-day dairy farm duties
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' dairy farming experience.
Previous experience milking cows is essential.
Experience in calf rearing and animal husbandry.
Ability to operate tractors and farm machinery.
Good work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Basic English communication skills.
A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position on a progressive dairy farm offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable candidate.
