Position Overview: As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our residents. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Your compassionate nature, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to go the extra mile will make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and their families. This is a full-time, permanent position based on a 39 hour working week.
Responsibilities:
Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
Assisting with mobility and transferring residents safely
Promoting independence and maintaining a comfortable and homely environment
Supporting residents during meal times and ensuring their nutritional needs are met
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
Documenting resident activities, observations, and any changes in condition
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is preferred, but we also welcome applications from candidates with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and health and safety standards.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare assistance are desirable but not essential.
