About this job

Flexibility:
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Up to 39 hours per week
Core Responsibilities
- General Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors.
- Surface Care: Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and countertops, as well as cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Hygiene & Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, taps and high-touch areas such as door handles.
- Waste Management: Emptying bins, replacing liners, and disposing of rubbish in accordance with site procedures.
- Stock Control: Monitoring and refilling supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring cleaning equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly after use.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Safety Protocols: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, including the correct handling and dilution of industrial chemicals.
- PPE: Wearing relevant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Hazard Reporting: Identifying and promptly reporting maintenance issues, hazards or faulty machinery to supervisors.
- Site Security: Locking doors and windows after hours and ensuring electrical appliances are switched off.
Person Specification
Key Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Essential for maintaining high hygiene standards, especially in healthcare or food service.
- Time Management: Ability to complete a set number of tasks on time within a pre-arranged schedule.
- Reliability: Demonstrating punctuality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Basic English skills for understanding safety instructions and interacting with team members.
Physical Attributes:
- Ability to remain mobile and active during a full shift.
- Physical endurance to handle a fast-paced, on-your-feet work environment
- Strength to lift and move cleaning equipment or furniture.
Experience & Training:
- Previous cleaning experience is often an advantage but not always essential, as full training is provided.
- Must hold a full, clean driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel between commercial sites and private residences.
