Dairy farm assistant

We are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant to join our modern dairy farm on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will assist with the daily operation of the farm while maintaining high standards of animal welfare, milk quality, hygiene, and health and safety. Main Duties Milking dairy cows using modern milking equipment. Feeding livestock and monitoring animal health and welfare. Assisting with calving, calf rearing, and general animal husbandry. Cleaning and maintaining the milking parlour, livestock housing, and farm equipment. Operating tractors and other farm machinery safely where appropriate. Moving livestock between paddocks and assisting with grazing management. Carrying out fencing, maintenance, and other general farm duties. Recording herd and production information as required. Following all farm health, safety, hygiene, and biosecurity procedures. Key Requirements Minimum 2 years' practical experience working on a commercial dairy farm. Experience with milking cows and general livestock management. Knowledge of animal welfare, milk hygiene, and farm biosecurity practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and sufficient English to follow work instructions and health and safety procedures. Reliable, hardworking, and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Full-time availability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required by farm operations.
