We are seeking 3 experienced Industrial / Commercial Pipefitters to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining and repairing industrial and commercial pipework systems in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and health and safety requirements.
Main Duties
Install, assemble and maintain industrial and commercial pipework systems.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework layouts and specifications.
Measure, mark, cut and prepare pipes and associated components.
Fit, align and secure pipes using appropriate tools, fittings, flanges, valves and supports.
Install pipework for water, heating, cooling, compressed air and other industrial services as required.
Carry out pipework modifications, repairs and maintenance.
Position and secure pipework using brackets, supports and hangers.
Carry out pressure and leak testing of completed pipework systems.
Work with different types and sizes of pipes and fittings.
Use hand tools, power tools and pipefitting equipment safely and correctly.
Work alongside welders, mechanical fitters, engineers and other construction personnel.
Identify faults, leaks or damaged pipework and carry out appropriate repairs.
Follow method statements, risk assessments and site safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe working area.
Comply with all company, site and Irish health and safety requirements.
Carry out other duties reasonably associated with the Pipefitter role.
Essential Requirements
Relevant experience as an Industrial, Commercial or Mechanical Pipefitter.
Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings.
Good knowledge of pipework installation, fittings, valves and supports.
Ability to measure, cut, align and assemble pipework accurately.
Experience using pipefitting hand and power tools.
Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant trade qualification/apprenticeship or substantial relevant experience is desirable.
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ relevant pipefitting experience preferred.
Relevant experience in industrial plants, commercial buildings, factories, mechanical installations, manufacturing facilities or construction projects will be considered.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate may be required to work on construction sites, commercial premises, industrial facilities and mechanical installation projects. The role may involve working at height, in confined areas and in physically demanding environments, subject to appropriate safety controls and training.
