Shuttering Carpenter – Category B Urban Contracts Ltd is seeking 3 full-time Shuttering Carpenters category B to join its residential construction team in Co. Monaghan. The successful candidates will undertake shuttering, formwork and concrete-related construction duties, including work involving ICF (Insulated Concrete Formwork) systems. Location: Drumnahinchin, Castleshane, Co. Monaghan, Ireland, H18 YX62 Number of positions: 3 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours of Work: 39 hours per week Salary: €43,339 gross per annum (€21.37 per hour), based on a 39-hour working week. Minimum Requirements Minimum of more than 2 years' practical experience in the construction sector, including hands-on experience in shuttering, formwork, concrete structures or similar construction activities. Practical experience assembling, positioning and dismantling shuttering and formwork systems. Ability to work with timber and proprietary formwork systems used for concrete construction. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, measurements and basic specifications. Competence in the safe use of relevant hand and power tools. Understanding of construction-site health and safety procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team. health and safety requirements and coordinate with supervisors and other workers. Main Duties Construct, assemble, position and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures. Assist with the preparation of walls, foundations, columns, slabs and other concrete structural elements. Work with ICF (Insulated Concrete Formwork) systems on residential construction projects. Measure, cut and prepare materials required for shuttering and formwork operations. Interpret construction drawings and instructions relevant to the work being undertaken. Ensure shuttering and formwork are correctly aligned, levelled and secured prior to concrete placement. Assist with concrete preparation and construction activities associated with the formwork. Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately. Maintain a safe and organised working area. Follow all site health and safety procedures and instructions. Work collaboratively with site supervisors, tradespersons and other construction workers. Applicants must have the required practical construction experience and be capable of carrying out the duties safely and independently following appropriate site instruction.
