HGV Mechanic

Job Purpose: To provide excellent customer service and deliver high quality maintenance, service, fault diagnosis and repair of HGVs. Duties & Responsibilities: Carry out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair of HGVs To carry out road testing and quality control inspections as required To complete all job related paperwork in line with Irish Commercial standards To work within guideline Volvo standard time lines To deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times To work as part of a team, maintaining a good working relationship between colleagues and customers To adhere to correct working procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to Management To keep the working area clean and tidy, reporting any Health and Safety issues promptly Report faulty facility / equipment promptly To participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company To undertake any other duties or activities as required 24 Hour callout may be required on a rotation basis for this job role Skills Profile: 3+ years post HGV apprenticeship experience or equivalent required Proven ability to work independently and with minimum supervision Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints Excellent communication skills Computer literate HGV technicians Salary is between 36,605 – 45,000 euros a year Hours of work is 39 hours a week Monday to Friday.
