Job Title: Carpenter – New Entrant Company Name: Kernel Construction Limited Work Location: 6 Fern Road,Dublin 12, Dublin, D12N20W Job Description: Kernel Construction Limited is currently seeking a Carpenter (New Entrant) to join our team working on residential and/or commercial construction projects. This position is suitable for candidates who have basic knowledge or informal experience in carpentry and are looking to start a formal career in the trade. Full on-the-job training will be provided under the supervision of qualified tradespeople. Key Responsibilities: Examines drawings and specifications to determine job requirements; Selects and measures appropriate wood and cuts, shapes and drills to specification using saws, planes, chisels and other power or hand tools; Aligns and fixes prepared wood pieces by screwing, nailing, gluing and dowelling to form frames, shop fronts, conter units, decking, theatrical sets, furniture, small wooden craft, scale models and wooden templates; Checks accuracy of work with square, rule and spirit level; Maintains and repairs woodwork and fittings Job Requirements: No formal qualification required; prior basic carpentry exposure is advantageous but not essential. Willingness to learn and develop skills through supervised work. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions. Basic understanding of site safety and use of PPE is desirable. Physical fitness and manual dexterity appropriate for construction work.
