CNC Mill-Turn Programmer / Setter / Operator
Location: Wexford, Ireland
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to €50,000 per year, depending on experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Programmer, Setter and Operator to join a growing Precision Engineering manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced CNC technology in a modern precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to demanding standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines, ensuring production, quality and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
Key Skills & Experience
• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines.
• Ability to create, modify and optimise CNC programmes independently.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good spoken and written English.
Desirable
• Mastercam experience is an advantage. Candidates with other CAD/CAM experience will also be considered, with training available.
• Experience with FANUC controls.
• Experience in precision engineering or high-specification manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
• Programme, set and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines.
• Set up tooling, fixtures and workholding equipment.
• Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Modify and optimise programmes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain required tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and programming issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and TPM activities.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Follow all company health, safety and quality procedures.
