Tango and Sons Haulage Limited is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing transport business. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the company's day-to-day financial operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and reconcile weekly payroll, including holiday pay, subsistence and other payroll adjustments. Reconcile customer invoices, delivery dockets and customer statements to ensure accurate billing. Complete bank reconciliations and investigate financial discrepancies. Prepare VAT returns and maintain accurate financial records. Prepare monthly management reports and support month-end and year-end accounting processes. Liaise with the company's external accountant and provide accurate financial information when required. Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll, invoicing and financial records. Essential Requirements: Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT and bank reconciliations. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines. Desirable: Experience within the haulage, transport or construction industry. Experience using accounting and payroll software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or BrightPay.
