Job Title: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineer (HVAC Engineer)
Employer: Dublin Airconditioning Limited T/A Dublin Air
Location: 10 Saint Finian's Green, Lucan, Dublin, K78NP64 / but the employee must visit and perform the work at the clients' addresses in Ireland
Annual Salary: €36,605.00
Hours: 39h per week
Main duties and responsibilities:
Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Inspecting and testing HVAC systems to identify faults, performance issues and required repairs.
Repairing or replacing defective components, including compressors, motors, fans, pumps, valves, thermostats, controls and associated equipment.
Installing and commissioning new air-conditioning and ventilation systems in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and project requirements.
Performing routine servicing and cleaning of HVAC equipment, including filters, coils, condensers, evaporators and drainage systems.
Checking system pressures, temperatures, electrical connections, refrigerant levels and overall system performance.
Carrying out leak testing and refrigerant recovery, charging and associated refrigeration work where required and appropriately certified.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, equipment manuals and manufacturers’ specifications.
Ensuring all installations, maintenance and repairs are completed to the required technical, quality and safety standards.
Completing service reports, maintenance records, job sheets and other required documentation.
Identifying additional repair or maintenance requirements and reporting these to management.
Communicating professionally with customers, site managers, contractors and other members of the project team.
Maintaining tools, equipment and company property in good working condition.
Following company health and safety procedures and complying with site-specific safety requirements.
Travelling to various customer premises and project sites as required by the employer.
Carrying out other reasonable duties associated with the position of HVAC Engineer.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an HVAC Engineer, Air Conditioning Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer/Technician or similar role.
Experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Ability to inspect, test and diagnose HVAC system faults.
Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
Knowledge of HVAC, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and components.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant refrigeration qualification or certification is an advantage.
