General Responsibilities Provide care to residents ensuring their independence is promoted and that residents’ dignity is always maintained. This will involve following your clients’ care plan - assistance with personal care and mobility. Developing and maintaining good relationships with residents and their families. Always adhering to confidentiality policy. Always ensuring resident safety. Deliver high quality care and assistance to our residents – personal care, toileting, moving & transferring. Communicate any changes or concerns in relation to resident needs/care. Adhere to Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control regulations. Assisting in maintaining a physical environment that is safe, peaceful, and comfortable for all residents and employees alike. Qualifications and Skills EU nationality/EU Passport (50/50 rule: Irish regulations require that at least 50% of staff in nursing homes are EU citizens). Healthcare/social care related qualification OR relative experience in a similar environment. Intermediate level of English (spoken and written) Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday is essential. Practical experience in a caring capacity desired. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Professional, caring and empathetic nature. Be comfortable working in a sometimes, challenging environment. You have 40 h per week on average In 14 days, you have 7x regular shifts of 12h.
