Reports to: Operations Director Note: Only applicants with a valid right to work in Ireland will be considered for this position. There is absolutely no sponsorship option for this role. Key Responsibilities: Lab work, which includes excellent soldering of fine pitch components Bring-up & testing of Benetel products received from contract manufacturer Interface with engineering to ensure products are tested to specification and report issues to engineering to allow resolution in a timely manner Programming & active debug of Benetel products Ensure all products are presented to Quality department in accordance with Benetel QA standards Pack and ship Benetel products to Benetel’s standard process Qualifications and Experience: Minimum educational requirement is a diploma or bachelor’s degree in any relevant technical discipline Minimum 18 months experience in electronic or phone repair, where excellent soldering capability was a key requirement Key Skills: Proficient soldering capability to IPC Class 2 Proficient in using programming tools (i.e. Xilinx, Microchip) Experience of manufacture or repair of electronic & telecommunication products Understanding of wireless testing requirements Ability to interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts Ability to adhere to process Experience with Altium Designer would be advantageous Self-Management Skills: The applicant must exhibit the following personal characteristics: Proactivity. Skilled in identifying and completing activities which assist in efficiently delivering high quality on-time solutions to internal customers Thoroughness. Works to ensure that all deliverables meet customer & company expectations Skilled in prioritising activities to complete tasks in a timely manner Ability to learn quickly and works to keep skills and knowledge up to date Ability to work well with colleagues, and partners. Good written and oral communication skills
