Smyths Toys is one of the world's largest specialty retailers of children's toys. We operate both online, and via our physical retail stores, with hundreds of stores spread across Europe and the UK. We source our product range from an extensive array of UK, European, and international suppliers. This role is located in our Head Office at Mervue Business Park, Co.Galway. Starting Salary: €36,700 Hours: 37.5 Full-time, Permanent role The Logistics Analyst will report directly to the Logistics Manager and will be responsible for the following: Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, clean, and interpret supply chain metrics using tools such as Excel and SAP to identify trends. Network & Route Optimisation: Identify cost-effective shipping methods and transport routes. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory costs. Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to resolve disruptions and evaluate performance against established quality standards. Process Improvement: Implement project plans and update logistics databases. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain environment Relevant third level qualification Strong organisational and administrative skills. Proficient in full Microsoft package, especially Excel. SAP experience is an advantage. Ability to multitask and work well to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills. Be highly numerate and process focused. Knowledge of logistics subset.
