Job Title : Rewinder Operative Location: Dublin Responsible to : Operations Manager Job Purpose : The role of the Rewinder Operative is to ensure the smooth running of the machine to meet the needs of our customers. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. To ensure all production to comply with customer requirements. 2. Adhere to adhere to GMP guidelines. 3. Confirm that line clearance procedures and quality checks have been completed as part of the first of approval process and adhered too. 4. Conversant with finishing and inspection of both single ply labels and peel and read labels from a master to finished reels with the ability to back number up to 8 lanes across at a time. 5. To be able to setup and verify camera set-up with independent challenge supported by QC, where applicable. 6. Ensure the appropriate PPE is worn/is always sufficient where specified particularly where sharps are present. 7. Report any non-conformances to QC/Supervisor as applicable. 8. Participate in quality improvement activities and comply with HSE practices. Machine Concept: The Prati Modular Rewinding System is a bi-directional web transport system, designed specifically for the efficient production of finished rolls of pressure sensitive pharmaceutical labels. The system is a computer controlled, comprehensive finishing system that includes fully integrated inspection devices, label counts, razor slitting, as well as sequential back numbering in a single machine. Selection of various devices will determine the types of fault detection that will be performed. The high security feature of reversing any detected fault backwards past the fault detectors for correction has been employed. Person Specification – Rewinder Operative ESSENTIAL CRITERIA (demonstrate on application form) 1 Basic understanding of machinery 2 Some knowledge of the Print industry 3 Basic computer skills 4 High attention to detail DESIRABLE CRITERIA (demonstrate on application form) 1 Previous experience in a similar role. SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE (tested at interview) Flexible approach to working hours Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with minimum supervision on own initiative and as part of a team. Highly analytical and results drive with good attention to detail.
