Warehouse & Transport Supervisor

FTBI is recruiting an experienced supervisor who has led warehouse staff, coordinated delivery drivers and worked with loading and dispatch.Working closely with the Transport Manager, you will organise daily activities across two nearby locations, ensuring orders are accurate, vehicles are loaded safely and deliveries leave on time.This role is based on the warehouse floor and combines team supervision with practical warehouse duties, including loading and unloading vehicles, moving goods, operating forklift/PPT equipment and carrying out occasional deliveries.Main responsibilities- Allocate daily tasks and supervise warehouse staff.- Coordinate loading and dispatch with drivers and other supervisors.- Support a delivery operation involving approximately 40 drivers.- Ensure orders are complete and shortages or damage are recorded before dispatch.- Check that goods are loaded safely and organised appropriately for delivery.- Resolve daily issues involving staff, drivers, stock and customers.- Train employees, give clear instructions and monitor performance.- Monitor completion of vehicle safety checks and report defects.- Assist with loading, unloading, moving goods and forklift/PPT operation.- Carry out occasional urgent deliveries.- Maintain accurate records and improve processes to reduce errors and delays.- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain organised working areas.Essential requirements- Previous direct supervision of warehouse or distribution staff.- Experience coordinating delivery drivers and outbound deliveries.- Practical experience in loading, order checking and dispatch.- Previous delivery driving experience.- Full Category B driving licence valid for driving in Ireland.- Practical forklift and powered pallet truck experience.- Valid Forklift, PPT and Manual Handling certificates.- Ability to perform loading, unloading and goods-handling duties using appropriate equipment and safe working procedures.- Ability to organise workloads and resolve team issues.- English communication skills sufficient to give instructions, resolve delivery issues and communicate with customers.- Basic computer skills and accurate record-keeping.- Availability to work at the stated location and hours.What we offerPermanent employment, a Monday-to-Friday schedule, on-site parking and pay based on relevant experience and qualifications.To applySubmit your CV outlining your warehouse supervisory experience, number of staff supervised, driver coordination and delivery experience, current certifications and availability.
