Heating Systems Installation & Commissioning Technician

Galtee Veneer Bonding Limited T/A The Galtee Group are currently recruiting a Heating Systems Installation & Commissioning Technician for their site located at Cork Road, Ballylanders, County Limerick, V35 TF76. to install, commission, test, maintain and troubleshoot heating systems across residential, commercial and other projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that heating installations are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer specifications, project requirements, applicable building regulations and relevant health and safety standards. The role requires practical technical expertise in heating system installation, pipework, system controls, testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis, together with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary installation team.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, assemble and connect heating systems, including associated pipework, valves, pumps, manifolds, radiators, thermostats and control equipment.Install and connect heating system components in accordance with approved technical drawings, installation instructions and project specifications.Carry out pre-commissioning inspections to verify that heating systems and associated components have been installed correctly and are ready for testing.Perform system filling, flushing, pressure testing, air removal and other required preparation procedures in accordance with the relevant system specifications.Commission heating systems by checking operational performance, adjusting system settings and verifying that components function correctly.Test and configure heating controls, circulation pumps, thermostatic controls, sensors and other system components.Diagnose and rectify installation faults, operational problems, leaks, pressure issues and heating performance deficiencies.Conduct functional tests and performance checks to confirm that installed systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.Identify installation defects, incomplete works and technical issues, and carry out corrective work where required.Read and interpret technical drawings, system schematics, equipment manuals and installation specifications.Qualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate should possess:A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role essential.Remuneration is €36605 per annum based on 39 hours per week.
