Plasterers

Our client, Bluestone Facilities Management Limited, based in Co. Laois, is currently seeking Plasterers for immediate start at their facility in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.Key Responsibilities:- To carry out all aspects of internal and external plastering, including skimming, bonding, float and set, rendering, and dry lining- To perform patch repairs and surface restoration works as part of reactive maintenance or refurbishment contracts- To prepare walls and ceilings by cleaning, applying bonding agents, and levelling surfaces prior to plastering- To apply various finishes such as sand/cement render, gypsum plaster, and decorative coatings as per project requirements- To undertake ceiling and wall repairs following electrical or plumbing installations- To work on occupied and unoccupied premises, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and maintaining a professional manner at all times- To inspect and assess damaged areas, determine the required materials and methods, and provide feedback to supervisors- To ensure all works are completed to specification, on time, and to a high standard of finish- To maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or delays to the Site Manager- To comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, including correct use of PPE and safe work practices- To maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good condition and report any defects- To assist other trades (e.g., painters, carpenters, tilers) when required to support the overall facilities maintenance operationKey Requirements:- Ability to perform all job duties stated above- Minimum 3 years’ experience in plastering, preferably within a facilities management, construction, or maintenance environment- Strong knowledge of modern and traditional plastering techniques and materials- Demonstrated ability to produce a high-quality finish across a variety of surfaces and environments- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering professional workmanship- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, site supervisors, and team members- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervisionAnnual remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay rate €18.05 per hourWork Location: Bluestone Facilities Management Limited, Killamuck, Abbeyleix, Co.
