Formwork Carpenter

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet out, install, and align concrete formwork systems in accordance with construction drawings and specificationsInstall reinforcement components, bracing systems, and structural fixings for concrete constructionPrepare, assemble, and secure formwork and shuttering elements prior to concrete placementAssist with concrete pours, including vibration, levelling, and finishing activitiesCut, shape, and fit formwork materials as required on siteRead and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and technical specificationsCarry out quality checks to ensure structural accuracy and compliance with project standardsOperate tools, equipment, and temporary works systems safely and efficientlyCoordinate with site managers and other trades to ensure efficient workflowMaintain a safe and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety regulationsSkills, Experience and Qualifications RequiredEssential RequirementsMinimum 2 years’ experience in formwork, concrete constructionAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and construction specificationsCompetence in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry and formwork installationPractical knowledge of concrete placement and structural assembly processesStrong understanding of construction site safety standards and proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable (Advantageous)Formal qualification in carpentry, joinery, or formwork installationKnowledge of temporary works and bracing systemsPrevious experience on residential or commercial construction projects
