Wilson & Sons Limited, a specialist in stainless steel and sheet metal fabrication, seeks a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. The Sheet Metal Fabricator provides skilled technical support in the manufacture of high-quality stainless steel and sheet metal products, applying practical fabrication knowledge to ensure efficiency, quality and safety of operations. The role focuses on precision work for commercial kitchens, bar counters, extraction units, custom furniture and architectural metalwork in a specialised workshop environment. Key Responsibilities:- Interpret technical drawings and job cards to fabricate and assemble sheet metal and stainless steel components accurately. - Operate shears, press brakes, rollers and related machinery to cut, form and shape metal to precise tolerances. - Carry out welding, seaming and finishing processes to produce high-quality items such as kitchen canopies, bar counters and custom fabrications. - Conduct quality checks, troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement of workshop processes. - Maintain safe equipment use, technical records and compliance with health, safety and quality standards. Skills, Experience & Requirements: - Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably with stainless steel. - Strong ability to read technical drawings and operate fabrication machinery. - Physically capable with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Welding experience (TIG preferred) and forklift certification are advantages.
