Donegal, F94 AX28Salary: €36,605 per year (€18.05 per hour including shift allowances, based on a 39 hour week)Hours: 39 hours per week, full time, shift workContract: Initial 1 year contractVacancies: 6, with staggered start datesAbout the roleCuan Tamhnaigh Teo is an international textile finisher based in Kilcar, Co. Donegal. We are looking for six General Operatives to run our computer controlled Jacquard rapier looms at our Weaving Factory. This is a skilled, hands on production role for someone who enjoys keeping complex machinery running smoothly and takes real pride in the quality of the fabric coming off the loom.What you will doOperate and monitor computer controlled Jacquard looms throughout each production runSet up looms to the required fabric design, construction and production specificationsLoad and replace yarn, beams, bobbins and other weaving materialsRead and follow Jacquard patterns, weave designs, production instructions and technical specificationsCheck fabric quality regularly and make sure it meets our standardsSpot and correct faults such as broken yarns, missed picks, loose threads and pattern defectsMake adjustments to loom settings, tension, speed and other operating parameters through the loom controlsStop the machine safely when faults occur and carry out minor adjustments or repairs where authorisedCarry out routine machine checks and report mechanical or electrical problems to the maintenance teamKeep accurate production, quality and downtime recordsFollow health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE, and keep your loom and work area clean and organisedWork closely with supervisors, maintenance staff and quality controllers to meet daily output and quality targets while keeping waste to a minimumWhat we are looking forProven experience operating computer controlled Jacquard looms in a production environmentConfidence reading Jacquard patterns and technical specificationsPractical fault finding skills and a good eye for fabric qualityComfortable working shifts and to daily production targetsReliable, safety conscious and a good team playerWhat we offer€36,605 per year, with shift allowances includedA full time role working on modern Schönherr and Van de Wiele rapier loomsA supportive production team and a company with its own weaving and finishing sites in KilcarHow to applySend your CV to [email protected], quoting "General Operative, Kilcar".
