Site Manager

PDL Global Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of Doohamlet Construction Co. Ltd for an experienced Site Manager to work at its construction operations in Tonnyglasson, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.Doohamlet Construction Company Ltd., was incorporated in 1981.

The directors, Teddy Duffy, Gavan Duffy and Elizabeth Duffy, set up as a general contracting company delivering new houses, extension and renovations successfully for many years. As the company has progressed through the years the scale and size of the contracts increased. The clientele and customers evolved from private individuals to government departments and multinational companies.

The company is now under the control of Gavan Duffy as Managing Director, and he is maintaining the standards set by his parents and striving to make the business a success.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate daily construction site activities.Plan and coordinate site works, labour, materials, deliveries and subcontractor activities.Coordinate installation and related construction works.Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, installers and site personnel.Monitor project programmes, progress, costs and resource requirements.Manage stock, material requirements and site deliveries.Review drawings, specifications, measurements and project requirements.Identify and resolve site issues, variations and operational difficulties.Monitor workmanship and ensure required quality standards are achieved.Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.Carry out site inspections and maintain project, safety, quality and progress records.Coordinate completion, snagging and handover of works.Qualifications, Experience and SkillsRelevant experience in site management or construction site operations.Practical knowledge of construction site operations, materials, subcontractors and project schedules.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and measurements.Good knowledge of construction site health and safety requirements.Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while reporting effectively to management.Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant project/documentation systems.CAD or technical drawing experience is an advantage.
