Excellens Urgent Care Clinic is a new, modern walk-in urgent care centre in Killarney, founded by an emergency physician to bring hospital-level urgent care closer to the community. With on-site digital X-ray, point-of-care laboratory testing and ECG, our aim is simple: assessment, diagnosis and treatment completed in a single visit, whenever clinically appropriate.We are building our founding team and are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who shares our commitment to fast, expert and compassionate care.The RoleAs the first clinical contact for our patients, you will play a central role in every visit: Triage of walk-in patients: vital signs, history and prioritisation Assisting emergency physicians with examinations and minor procedures Wound care, dressings and suturing assistance Plaster cast and splint application, following in-house training Operation of the digital X-ray system, following accredited training and in line with radiation protection regulations Phlebotomy, point-of-care laboratory tests and ECGs Administration of medications and vaccinations Patient education and clear aftercare instructions Accurate clinical documentation Infection prevention, stock control and equipment checksRequirements Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) – essential Minimum [2] years' post-registration experience, ideally in Emergency Medicine, an Injury Unit or urgent care Confident triage skills (Manchester Triage System experience an advantage) Current BLS; ACLS/ILS an advantage Calm, professional and reassuring manner with patients of all ages Flexibility to work a rota including evenings and weekends Right to work in IrelandWhat We Offer Competitive salary of €42,000 – €55,000, depending on experience and qualifications Full training provided in plaster technique and digital radiography Funded CPD and training The opportunity to help shape a new clinic from day one A stimulating and progressive working environment, built around an innovative new concept in urgent care A modern, purpose-designed working environment with advanced diagnostics on site Additional benefits to be discussed at interview
