Our client, Solar Beo Limited, based in Dingle, Co. Kerry, is currently seeking Solar Panel Fitters for immediate start at their facility in Dingle, Co. Kerry. Key Responsibilities & Duties - Install, position, and secure solar PV panels, mounting frames, and associated racking systems on rooftops and ground-mounted arrays. - Carry out electrical installation work including DC string wiring, inverter installation, AC connections, isolators, distribution boards, and battery storage systems. - Interpret and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications. - Test, inspect, and commission completed installations, including insulation resistance, polarity, and earth continuity testing, and complete associated test records and certification. - Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in solar PV systems and associated equipment. - Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on existing installations. - Ensure all work complies with Safe Electric requirements where applicable, SEAI installer standards, building regulations, and site health and safety requirements - Complete job documentation, test records, ESB Networks connection paperwork and handover documentation accurately and on time. - Work at height safely using appropriate access equipment, harnesses, and edge protection in accordance with health & safety. - Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other trades on site. Requirements: Skills & Experience - Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a Solar Panel Fitter role or similar - Demonstrable experience installing and wiring solar PV systems, or comparable electrical installation experience. - Experience in diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults in solar PV systems - Experience in testing, inspecting, and commissioning completed installations, including insulation resistance, polarity, and earth continuity testing. - Competent to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on existing installations - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings. - Competence in working at height and awareness of relevant safety regulations. - Electrical qualification is a plus but is not mandatory as further training will be provided Annual Remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay rate €18.05 per hour Work Location: Solar Beo Limited, Milltown, Dingle, Co.
