Role Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team in St. Dominic's National School Tallaght. The ideal candidate will hold a QQI Level 5 qualification (minimum) in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent) and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our School Aged Children programmes. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and implementing an appropriate curriculum in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Document children’s progress, ensuring records are maintained in line with Tusla requirements Previous experience in a childcare setting, particularly within an ECCE environment, is desirable Strong understanding of child development and early years education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A warm, caring, and patient approach to working with children Garda Vetting is required prior to commencement Remuneration: Childcare Assistant QQI ELC Level 5: €15.50 per hour + see below Discretionary Bonus Additional Remuneration with Qualifications: QQI ELC Level 6: Additional 50c per hour QQI ELC Level 7: Additional 50c per hour QQI ELC Level 8: Additional 50c per hour Health and Wellbeing Benefits: Company-supported Healthcare Plan Death in Service benefit Support for job-related education and training Free childcare across any of our locations Maternity leave support programme Weekly professional exercise classes (in partnership with local gyms) Additional Good Friday holiday Education and Training: Professional development supported, in addition to mandatory training, to include: QQI ELC Childcare Inclusion and Diversity Apply Please send your CV to [email protected] by 22 June 2026.
