We’re currently recruiting an ambitious Head Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Compass Group Ireland on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
This role is based at a busy, high-footfall leisure and education venue offering interactive, family-focused experiences. The site sees strong seasonal demand, particularly during summer and weekends, catering to a wide range of customers including families, school groups, and corporate visitors.
This role will also assist in other locations and area of the business as and when is required.
The position operates mainly daytime hours, with weekend working required and no night shifts, supporting a strong work-life balance. Free on-site parking is also available.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing high-quality, delicious food that delights customers
Identifying and driving improvements across food service and menu offering
Creating a positive, supportive kitchen culture for your team
Delivering engaging and appealing food concepts suited to a leisure environment
Managing stock, ordering, and controlling food waste
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
Managing budgets and achieving financial targets
Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
Representing Compass Ireland and maintaining a strong brand presence
Our ideal Head Chef will:
Have experience in a similar Head Chef role, ideally in high-volume or leisure settings
Have previous experience using Foodbuy and KitchTech
Be passionate about food, quality, and customer experience
Foster a positive team environment where people can thrive
Be a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships
Work well under pressure, especially during peak seasonal periods
Take initiative and make decisions that benefit the customer experience
Be highly organised, reliable, and safety-focused
