Aureol Global Connections is hiring for Dairy Farm Assistants on behalf of J. Grennan & Sons Unlimited Company, Rath, Birr, Offaly, Ireland R42 YA49. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: rearing and managing Friesian bull calves from arrival through to finishing, while maintaining high standards of animal health, welfare, nutrition, and performance. The role involves daily feeding, monitoring livestock, administering treatments in line with veterinary protocols, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring livestock housing is clean and well maintained. The Farm Operative will also support the tillage enterprise through crop establishment, cultivation, drilling, spraying, harvesting, and grassland management activities. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining tractors, loaders, and other farm machinery, assisting with silage and slurry operations, maintaining farm buildings, yards, and fencing, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures. Candidates should have previous experience in beef, dairy, or calf-rearing systems, good stockmanship skills, experience with tillage and crop production, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a farm team. Experience with telehandlers, grassland management, machinery maintenance, welding, or general farm repairs would be advantageous. This is a full-time role of 39 hours per week with an annual salary range of €36,605-€40,000. Interested applicants should send their CV to [email protected].
