The ideal candidates will have:-
A HETAC Accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care or a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or a candidate must be eligible for registration under the standards of proficiency for CORU registration (www.coru.ie/social care workers)
Experience in managing behaviour which challenges.
Experience with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.
The ability to work on his/her own initiative and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.
Full Driver's Licence (Desirable)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver daily personal care and support service users with daily living, social, and life skills.
Assist service users with budgeting, finances, and household tasks, encouraging participation.
Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records.
Facilitate leisure and community activities tailored to residents’ needs.
Ensure health, safety, and emergency procedures are followed.
Support, develop, and supervise staff under the direction of the Person in Charge.
Maintain effective communication with residents, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Uphold the Foundation’s policies, procedures, and commitment to confidentiality and advocacy.
