The Hodson Bay Hotel is currently recruiting a talented and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join our award-winning culinary team. Salary: €36,605 - €37,000 per annum (DOE) Key Responsibilities Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods, and confectionery items to the highest standards. Ensure all pastry products are produced consistently and in line with menu specifications and presentation standards. Organise and prepare daily mise en place to support efficient service. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all pastry offerings, seasonal menus, and special events. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation procedures. Minimise food waste and ensure effective use of ingredients. Work closely with the wider kitchen team to consistently exceed guest expectations. Support and guide junior members of the kitchen team where required. Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and health & safety regulations. Ensure pastry equipment is maintained and report any maintenance issues promptly. Requirements This is a full-time position of 39 hours per week. Minimum 1 year's experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a pastry section at Pastry Chef de Partie level. Qualification in Pastry is desirable but not essential. Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert presentation. Good understanding of Food Hygiene and HACCP principles. Fluent in written and spoken English. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational and teamwork skills. Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in approach.
