CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER

Clinical Nurse Manager required to lead the nursing and care team on the unit and ensure safe, person-centred resident care.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage day-to-day care and coordinate staff duties• Review assessments, care plans and clinical documentation• Maintain care standards and support HIQA compliance• Manage rosters and resources within agreed budgetsPre-employment: Satisfactory references, Garda vetting, occupational health clearance and verification of registration and qualifications are required.• Supervise staff and complete probation reviews and appraisals• Support induction, training and student placements• Review incidents, complaints and clinical risks• Complete audits and follow up quality improvement actions• Communicate with residents, families and the multidisciplinary teamESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSQualifications:• Current NMBI registration• A relevant management qualification or willingness to undertake a management course.Experience:• Relevant nursing experience in older persons' care• Experience supervising staff and coordinating clinical careSkills:• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills• Sound clinical judgement and knowledge of HIQA standards• Ability to manage priorities and support a team• Competence with electronic care recordsPre-employment: Satisfactory references, Garda vetting, occupational health clearance and verification of registration and qualifications are required.
