We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out painting and finishing works on commercial, residential and industrial buildings and structures. Main Duties and Responsibilities Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding and removing loose or damaged paint. Apply primers, paints, varnishes and protective finishes to walls, ceilings and other building and structural surfaces. Apply paint using brushes, rollers and appropriate painting equipment to achieve a professional and even finish. Mix and prepare paints to achieve the required colour, consistency and finish. Protect floors, fixtures, fittings and surrounding areas before commencing painting work. Carry out painting and repainting works during construction, refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects. Inspect completed surfaces and perform touch-ups and corrective painting where required. Follow drawings, specifications and instructions regarding colours, finishes and areas to be painted. Maintain painting tools and equipment and keep the workplace clean and organised. Comply with all site health and safety requirements and use appropriate PPE. Requirements Previous professional painting experience is required. Candidates should have good knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
