Formwork carpenter

Key Duties and Responsibilities Set out, install, and align concrete formwork systems in accordance with construction drawings and specifications Install reinforcement components, bracing systems, and structural fixings for concrete construction Prepare, assemble, and secure formwork and shuttering elements prior to concrete placement Assist with concrete pours, including vibration, levelling, and finishing activities Cut, shape, and fit formwork materials as required on site Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and technical specifications Carry out quality checks to ensure structural accuracy and compliance with project standards Operate tools, equipment, and temporary works systems safely and efficiently Coordinate with site managers and other trades to ensure efficient workflow Maintain a safe and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Skills, Experience and Qualifications RequiredEssential Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in formwork, concrete construction Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction specifications Competence in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry and formwork installation Practical knowledge of concrete placement and structural assembly processes Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable (Advantageous) Formal qualification in carpentry, joinery, or formwork installation Knowledge of temporary works and bracing systems Previous experience on residential or commercial construction projects
