Tool Makers

Abbey Moulding Contractors Limited requires Tool Makers to join the team based in Limerick, Ireland.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality custom components to our diverse customer base. The salary range is €40,000 - €50,000 per annum. The standard working week is 40 hours.

Responsibilities: Operate and maintain all conventional toolmaking machines. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure the timely and quality of components. Conducting tooling modifications and repairs to enhance performance, efficiency, and longevity.

Train and mentor junior team members as needed. Qualifications: 5 to 10 years of proven experience in a busy contract tool-room environment. Proficient in operating CNC mill, CNC lathe, CNC EDM sparker, CNC WEDM wire machine, Laser welder, Drill sparker, surface grinders, and conventional toolmaking machines.

Strong understanding of injection molding processes and tooling. Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of toolmaking. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
