Motion Metrics is a growing Irish technology company specialising in advanced fleet management solutions. Our platform integrates telematics, vehicle CCTV, route planning, vehicle inspections and driver analysis into one streamlined system for clients in the transport, logistics and bus & coach sectors. We are seeking one experienced IT Operations Technician to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical support to internal users across all company locations, resolving hardware, software, network and peripheral issues both in person and remotely.
Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktop, laptop and mobile devices as well as associated peripherals.
Support and maintain the IT infrastructure that underpins Motion Metrics’ fleet management systems and cloud-based platforms.
Assist with the deployment, monitoring and basic administration of Microsoft 365, networking equipment and security tools.
Respond promptly to service desk tickets, escalate complex issues where necessary, and document solutions clearly.
Carry out routine system checks, updates, backups and preventative maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Support onboarding and offboarding of staff by preparing equipment and managing user accounts.
Comply with all company IT security policies, data protection requirements and Health & Safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in an IT support or IT operations role.
Strong practical knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals and hardware troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team with excellent attention to detail.
Good command of the English language (spoken and written).
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally between company sites if required.
Desirable:
Experience supporting users in a technology or software company environment.
Knowledge of fleet management systems, telematics or CCTV platforms.
Relevant IT qualifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications or equivalent).
Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Package:
