Healthcare Assistant – Intellectual Services, Dublin
Location: Services across Dublin
Salary: €32,000–€38,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week, worked across 12-hour shifts
Contract: Fixed-term, with potential to become permanent
About the Role
3Q Recruitment is seeking Healthcare Assistants to support individuals with intellectual disabilities across a range of services in Dublin.
The successful candidates will provide person-centred assistance with daily living, personal care and community participation. The role focuses on helping each individual maintain their independence, dignity, wellbeing and daily routine within a safe and supportive environment.
This position offers a structured working week, access to multiple service locations and the opportunity to develop long-term experience within intellectual disability services.
Key Responsibilities
Support individuals with personal care and daily living activities
Encourage independence, choice and active participation
Assist with community activities, appointments and social engagement
Follow individual care plans and behavioural support guidelines
Build respectful and professional relationships with service users
Promote dignity, inclusion, safety and wellbeing
Observe and report changes in an individual’s needs or wellbeing
Maintain accurate records in line with service requirements
Work collaboratively with colleagues and other support professionals
Follow all relevant health, safety and care procedures
Candidate Requirements
QQI Level 5 qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification
Previous experience in disability, healthcare or care settings
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A respectful and person-centred approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Manual Handling and First Aid certification that is currently valid, or willingness to update this training
