Livestock Worker

Dairy Farm Assistant required for a progressive grass-based dairy enterprise. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of the farm, including milking dairy cows, feeding and watering livestock, calf rearing, assisting during calving, monitoring animal health and welfare, operating and cleaning milking equipment, maintaining high standards of hygiene and biosecurity, moving and handling livestock safely, assisting with grassland management, operating tractors and other farm machinery where appropriately trained, carrying out general farm maintenance, and completing other duties associated with the efficient operation of the dairy farm. Applicants should have previous practical dairy farming experience, good animal husbandry skills, knowledge of milking procedures and livestock welfare, be physically fit, reliable, hardworking, able to work independently and as part of a team, and committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety and animal welfare. A qualification in Agriculture or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential where relevant practical experience has been obtained.
